The ideal candidate is a project engineer or equivalent
who has implemented control system solutions with some project
management experience.
Primary Responsibilities
-
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Control System architecture design
- Control System hardware and software design
- Preparation of configuration design specifications
- Preparation of instrument and I/O lists, and loop diagrams.
- Interpret design input documentation such as P&I diagrams, Process Narratives and Logic Schematics
- Interpret and/or author narrative specifications including Control System requirements, Design Criteria and User Requirements
- Review and comment on information to/from customers, other vendors, and other team members within Lakeside
- Project Management type experience would include scheduling,
resource coordination, and an understanding of contract management
including procurement, shipment and delivery, legal terms and
conditions, taxation, risk assessment/management
- Direct control system configuration experience of a major DCS solution or PLC/HMI solution is required
- Previous experience with Foxboro or ABB or other similar system required
- Additional experience with Emerson's PROVOX, RS3 or DeltaV
technologies including Foundation Fieldbus or other fieldbus
technologies would be an asset
Education:
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Five to Ten (5 – 10) years’ experience with process control system implementation
- Direct control system configuration experience of a major DCS solution or PLC/HMI solution is required
- Previous experience with Foxboro or ABB or other similar system required
- Additional experience with
Emerson's PROVOX, RS3 or DeltaV technologies including Foundation
Fieldbus or other fieldbus technologies would be an asset
- Experience is required in Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project
- Exposure to the Process industry
including Chemical and Specialty Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Refining,
Power, Cogeneration (Power & Steam production), Pharma and Biotech,
and Food and Beverage
