This
role monitors and controls the operating performance of key agriculture
Original Equipment Manufacter (OEM) clients. The role develops and
maintains a professional relationship with assigned OEM and provides
superior customer service balanced with sound risk management.
Primary point of contact for all day to day activity for key OEM client.
Perform monthly portfolio reviews with OEM. Develop regular
communication rhythm with key stakeholders at the OEM involving the CDF
Relationship Manager as required.
Manage through the SAG (Special Assets Group) process for any account that carries the OEM.
Manage OEM collections (interest, funds due from repossessions etc.).
Work in conjunction with OEM underwriting on OEM reviews.
Manage OEM order approval process to ensure timely decisioning.
Work with Rates and Terms team to ensure programs set up and structured accurate and timely.
Gain visibility to OEM pipeline of orders to make sure dealer accounts are aligned with OEM needs where credit worthy.
Manage policy requirements at an OEM level (OEM credit lines, large unit exposures etc.).
Attend OEM involved internal watch calls, team meetings etc. to ensure up to date on the activity within the dealer network.
Collaborate with CDF Relationship Manager on OEM strategic initiatives.
OEM project ownership as required.
Liaise with US counterparts to drive consistency cross border on policy and process.
Post secondary business/accounting education and/or equivalent work experience.
Process improvement training and expertise (i.e. Lean or Six Sigma training).
5+ years account management and administration experience. Banking and collections experience would be an asset.
General knowledge of accounting principles.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to recognize deteriorating loan performance.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a matrixed and performance based organization.
Experience in a compliance focused environment with an emphasis on unyielding integrity.
Knowledge of the Inventory Financing and agriculture industries would be a great asset.
