3M is seeking a Distributor Relations Manager (DRM) for the Industrial Business Group located preferably in Alberta or British Columbia. Ready to be part of what's next?
3M’s Industrial Business has an opening for a Distributor Relations Manager, Western Canada. Ideal applicant will consult with leadership team on strategic direction and have the ability to provide Channel leadership in the Industrial Channel in Western Canada. The DRM role is a critical role in its Industrial Business Group to drive top line sales growth at Channel through programs, promotions, training and a host of other tools and tactics. The role is also responsible for managing POS, training, new product launches etc.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Distributor Relationship Management at key accounts as priority, and at other Industrial Channel accounts
- Developing strategies for competitive conversions
- Working closely with marketing and sales teams to develop & execute Distributor specific channel programs
- Implementation and execution of channel programs such as promotions, new products
- Provide training to Distributor reps on key commodity type products on own, and involve product reps and Tech Service for Specialized training
- Understand operational & financial metrics and able to troubleshoot & resolve operational issues
- Work closely with IB field reps, and with PSD and other divisions’ Reps and other DRMs
- Territory requires 50% overnight travel
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience with documented track record for achieving forecast in the Industrial or related businesses
- Experience in channel management and markeitng preferred
- High level of inter-personal and communication skills, with an ability to deal with all levels of employees at Channel partners
- Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple tasks
- Above average ability in Microsoft office products (excel & powerpoint) and analytical skills
- Experience in working with cross functional teams preferred
- Fluent in English.
