| The
Service Manager is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution
of Field Service for all oil and gas products in the northern half of
the United States and Canada. This includes, but is not limited to, the
below items for installation and field service in areas of compressors,
gas turbines, multi-stage pumps, steam turbines, turbo-expanders and
reciprocating compressors.

Manage field service execution to ensure customer and business needs
are met. Ensure resources meet/exceed commitments and region/function
objectives.
• Provide leadership to ensure business financial goals are met. • Develop short and long-range resource and training plans based on field service forecasts and business commitments. • Hire, manage, and ensure proper training, development, and career coaching for all Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Team Leaders. • Provide support for FSE mobilizations to customer sites. • Lead field project coordination activities within geography to include successful execution and accomplishment of internal operating goals and objectives. • Support functions as necessary for the setup, execution, and closeout of all projects. • Develop and report business accomplishments on a periodic basis. • Capture best practices and provide input to improve operational and quality procedures and processes for the improvement of installation and field services. • Support the Training Academy with training needs and plans to ensure goals are met. • Liaise with internal GE groups to develop business plans and strategies. | |
| • Motivated high performing professional looking to grow their career and operational responsibility.
• Minimum of 3 years related work experience in engineering or field service, with similar years experience in project execution. • Degree or diploma preferably in engineering • Familiarity with rotating equipment in the Oil & Gas industry (turbines, compressors). • Established communication, reporting, and organization capabilities. • Strong PC experience with MS Office proficiency. • This position includes travel (approximately 20-40%). | |
