TMMC is a world-class automotive facility with assembly plants located in Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario.  We produce the top quality Corolla, Matrix, Lexus RX 350 and RAV4.  We have completed new model launches for the Corolla and RAV4 and are excited about the launch of the Lexus Hybrid RX450h in 2014!

Position Summary:

• Manage within a multi-skilled, fast-paced, team oriented flexible manufacturing environment.
•  Supervising Operating Engineers within a rotating shift environment.
• Manage power plant equipment, including boilers, air compressors, chillers, water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Manage departmental safety.
• Participate in and provide “On the Job” training with and to other maintenance team members.
• Manage and assist in the trouble shooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Manage preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures.
• Manage all regulations related to O. Reg. 219/01
• Manage and direct contractor work within areas of responsibility
• Support Capital and Operating budget creation, and manage within budget

Qualifications

 

·         First Class Operating Engineer License (Ontario or Interprovincial).

·         Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.

·         Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.

·         Demonstrated problem solving and decision making ability.

·         Demonstrated ability to manage safety within a multi-skilled, fast-paced environment.

·         Demonstrated ability to meet waste, water, energy, productivity, quality, and cost targets.

·         Able to maintain and improve department standards.

·         Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete daily activities.
