Job Description  Engineering Specialist - West Press Weld-13-031 Description   Come GROW with us!!   TMMC is a world-class automotive facility with assembly plants located in Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario.  We produce the top quality Corolla, Matrix, Lexus RX 350 and RAV4.  We have completed new model launches for the Corolla and RAV4 and are excited about the launch of the Lexus Hybrid RX450h in 2014!   The world famous Toyota Production System, a philosophy of continuous improvement and ongoing training, enables each team member to work towards their highest potential.  The success of our company stems from hiring results-driven, self- motivated individuals with the ability to work together to achieve team goals.   Position Summary Provide solutions and support to processes and improvements Analysis and implementation of safety & ergonomic concerns   Process equipment evaluation, specifications, procurement and implementation Coordinating and working with external contractors Automation troubleshooting, cycle time reductions and new equipment installation Cost reduction identification and implementation Budget setting and control Periodic domestic and international travel as required Day Shift, with afternoon shift and overtime support as required Must be flexible to work in Cambridge and/or Woodstock  Qualifications   Engineering Degree or equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial background preferred) (P. Eng eligible) Related work experience within a high volume manufacturing environment Robotics/Electrical/Controls experience preferred (Mechatronics) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and technical skills Proven hands-on problem solving and project management skills Strong understanding of equipment design and function Experience with press and weld engineering work would be an asset Able to work effectively with other groups (production, maintenance) Multi-disciplinary experience in process or equipment engineering Job  Manufacturing Engineering Primary Location CA-ON-Woodstock-Woodstock Other Locations CA-ON-Cambridge-Cambridge Organization  TMMC - Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Travel  Yes, 5 % of the Time Job Posting  Dec 5, 2013, 4:48:31 PM
