As the Senior Project Manager, you will have overall project responsibility and lead large teams or multiple teams in the design, development and implementation of complex, highly secure and reliable solutions which may run on multiple platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages for clients. Responsibilities are:

  • Develop work plans, manage deadlines and coordinate project team and sub-team activities
  • Estimate resource requirements, work with deployment to identify appropriate resources and integrate them in the team
  • Define and agree on deliverables and milestones with clients
  • Set and control scope and manage changes effectively
  • Communicate status and vision to clients and all stakeholders
  • Manage the team and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Responsible for financial management and Issue and risk management of the project
  • Negotiate with the client as needed and manage the contract and deliverables.
  • Responsible for client relationship and expectation management
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and sites
  • Manage project proposal activities, work with proposal team to identify solution, establish project plan and estimate during the proposal response cycle


    Qualifications:

    Past industry work experience should include several assignments that span the entire application development or software development lifecycle including: defining requirements, prototyping, software and/or user interface design, database design and/or testing, implementation and technical documentation. Experience and/or expertise in the following areas is required:
  • Atleast 10 years experience in application architecture, design, development and complex systems integration projects.
  • Experience leading onshore and offshore teams of 50+ staff, managing complex programs and/or multiple projects
  • Experience in global or multi-site delivery using both onshore and offshore resources
  • Experience in structured and disciplined application and object-oriented development methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments/teams and mentor others
  • Demonstrated client relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage change and strong financial management skills with proven track record of completing projects on-time and on-budget
  • Ability to work closely with process owners and other key stakeholders to communicate progress and vision and facilitate buy-in

    Completion of a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technology discipline required. Completion of product, industry or professional certification directly related to project management is a strong asset.

    Travel is based on business and client requirements.
