Implement large scale projects based on SOA implementation and integration tools. • Translate business requirements into software design specifications using standard design methodologies, including use cases, sequence diagrams, standard design patters and entity relationship diagrams. • Design, develop, test and document system components, including messages and integration services, business objects, and service-oriented architectures (SOA). • Support test engineers in the development of functional test plans, test cases, and defect resolution. • Collaborate with developers, system engineers and software and/or business testers on system integration and end-to-end testing. • Work with system engineers to define infrastructure requirements based on technical specifications. • Design and conduct system load tests and tune system components to improve performance, scalability, security and stability. • Follow programming standards and best practices, and conduct system quality review during software development lifecycle. • Work with project manager to estimate development work effort, plan delivery schedule, report status and assess/mitigate development risks. Analyze and resolve product issues and provide production support for enterprise applications. The SOA Architect will be responsible for developing and executing an implementation plan. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related subjects. • Well versed in enterprise architecture, SOA, JAVA, J2EE and Web-Services • Full-cycle implementation (requirements gathering, design, implementation, integration and testing) experience. • Solid written and oral communication skills to provide client with clear, concise architectural documentation and guidance. • Designing and implementing n-tiered application architecture. • Fluent in first generation Web service standards, technologies and tools (XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, BPEL). • Distributed computing background; COBRA, RPC, DCE, DCOM, RMI. • Knowledge of RUP, UML and UMP tools Travel is extensive and based on client and project requirements.
