As an SAP BASIS Consultant, the candidate will be expected to lead technical strategy development, conduct technical solution workshops with clients and be responsible for systems configuration, management and performance tuning of complex SAP landscapes, including troubleshooting. As a part of the SAP BASIS Team, potentially in a lead role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of a 24 X 7 SAP production environment. Qualifications: Certified Basis consultant Responsibilities: Client and landscape strategies; Batch scheduling; Early Watch Alerts; OSS Notes research and application; SAPGUI deployment, correction and transport management ( TMS, CTS, CTS+ ); resolving tickets with the Helpdesk; printer troubleshooting and spool administration; daily system checks( CCMS ); Disaster Recovery testing, and performance tuning. Essential Knowledge: In-depth, demonstrated knowledge of SAP NetWeaver BASIS to include; Netweaver 7.0 (including ECC, BI, SRM, SCM, LiveCache, SBOP, HANA), ABAP & J2EE Skills, Security/Authorizations, and SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Knowledge/experience in the following area is preferred: SAP Installs / Upgrades — SAP Transport MANAGEMENT System ( TMS, CTS, CTS+ ) ; SAP CCMS ; SAP client copies ; System Copies ; Monitoring SAP system parameters ; trouble shooting problems; Dual Landscape Strategies, including Retrofit; Setup of printing environments; application SAP support packages & kernel upgrades; familiarity with SAP Best practices, SAP MDM and implementation/upgrade experience with Solution Manager 7.1, including Run SAP Like A Factory. SAP Basis skills: • Ability to optimize SAP systems performance • Ability to perform system configuration • All aspects of landscape management • System monitoring and troubleshooting • Demonstrated client -facing skills and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel. • Excellent technical, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and self-management skills. • Ability to multi-task and manage work priorities Candidate should have: 3-4 years of related technical experience in an operational Environment. (2) Business Skills: • Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task within a dynamic workplace • Thorough experience and knowledge of consulting practices and techniques • A comprehensive understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods industry leading practices, specifically in the areas of logistics and transportation • The ability to develop strong relationships with clients, including building rapports and scope-management • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to deliver quality results with an aggressive timeline • Effective coaching and knowledge transfer skills • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Exceptional communication and presentation skills • The ability to thrive in a team environment • High availability • Ability to work autonomously • A self-starter with excellent verbal and written skills.
