The Data Specialist - ETL Data Stage developer moves data from the operational & external environments to the business intelligence environment (or between operational environments) using IBM's InfoSphere DataStage ETL tool. The ideal candidate would also have some skills with other products in the related IBM suite like QualityStage, InfoSphere Discovery, Information Analyzer, FastTrack and Business Glossary. The role may require the use of non-IBM ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Ab Initio, BODS) depending on the customer's environment. Candidate may potentially be required to take education and training on other ETL tools to expand his tool competency. Skills include designing and developing ETL processes. Candidate needs to be able to interact well within a project team and with customers. Candidate will be required to travel. Skills/Attributes: • Good understanding of ETL design principles and best pratices. • Good understanding of source-to-mapping logic. • Experience writing and executing SQL scripts • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly. • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues. • Understands the concepts related to data warehousing, enterprise software integration and business intelligence. • Experience with test case development, and ETL test support. • Experience with test cases and supporting the testing of ETL code. • Experience in consulting/customer facing responsibilities. • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor junior practitioners. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to become a trusted technical advisor to the customer Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Required Bachelor's Degree At least 2 years experience in Business Intelligence At least 1 year experience in databases such as DB2, Oracle, and/or Teradata At least 2 years experience in DataStage English: Fluent
