Canada’s Global Growth and Operations team is in search of a Process
Engineering Manager for their state-of-the-art Customer Innovation
center in Calgary Alberta. The role will report into the Center Leader
and will be directly accountable for executing on a portfolio of
customer solution projects focused on the Energy sector.
Primary objective:
Help GE businesses, it's customers and partners bring solutions to life
Number of Direct Reports: 5 to 7 Solution Engineers
Who will you work with: GE technologists, Scientists, Engineers and Business leaders, Customers, Industry groups, Policy Makers
Guiding Methodology: GE’s Commercial Innovation Architecture (Fast Works and NPI Tollgate Process)
What does success look like: Incremental revenue for GE businesses
Key Responsibilities
Participate in early customer engagement sessions with GE
commercial teams to win new clients and build an active pipeline of
projects for the customer innovation center
Nurture, develop and coach direct reports to work as a team and deliver a differentiated service to GE businesses and customers
Collaboratively work with stakeholders (internal / external) to lead projects from concept through pilot
Focus on delivering validated (Pilot scale) turnkey
solutions with scale up /deployment plans that can be transitioned to GE
businesses for final execution
Prior, recent experience in engineering EPCM or EPC firms
Simultaneous supervision of multiple engineering disciplines (concurrent engineering)
Minimum of 10+ year track record of successful completions
in design, process, project engineering projects focused in the
petrochemical, heavy industrial or refining industry
Project Management Professional certification
Professional Engineering License
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience in all facets of solution delivery including
QA/QC, leadership, design project management methodology and critical
path milestone management
Originality and Ingenuity around the development of practical and economic solutions to problems
Advanced communication and negotiation skills. Able to
integrate across all levels of the organization and drive for decisions
without the need for over processed toll gates/technical review systems.
Strong software computer skills – Microsoft Office, Outlook.
