| The Category Manager - Walmart will be responsible for supporting all the requirements for the Walmart Category Manager in managing the Lighting Category. | |

Provide analytical support and recommendations to help grow volume and
profitability, including customer/channel business analysis, trend
analysis, advertising/promotion impact and cost effectiveness, pricing
strategy, product and shelf space ROI analysis, and planogramming. *
Apply Category Management disciplines to financial metrics of retail
space to meet customer and GE expectations; Proactively identify &
communicate customer opportunities and goals using multiple data sources
to support fact based decisions * Collect
and interpret customer POS, ACNielsen marketplace data, ACV & market
trends
* Serve as member of key customer and
marketing teams, present category reviews to customer, and assist with
customer presentations as required.
* Design, develop, source and implement market analysis
tools as required to support specific sales strategies and decisions;
execute other special projects as directed by management.
* Mine shopper data sources, identify shopper trends, and leverage custom research techniques to make recommendations to GE Account Manager(s) and the customer(s) * Utilize ProSpace tools to recommend planograms to the customer, measure space to sales, capacity, and overall GMROII of planograms * Manage demographic database and support requests for data / information * Identify and measure promotional & competitive activities * Understand & measure customer and GE CTQs that are identified * Responsible for development maintenance of all plan-o-grams | |
| * Bachelor's Degree
* Minimum 3 year experience in Category Management, Research, or Sales Analytics * Must have strong knowledge of consumer products and dealing with national accounts. * Experience working with Walmart and Retail Link * Must be proficient in sales and marketing development, data analysis, Plan-O-Gram development, ability to conduct complex ad-hoc data analysis * Working knowledge Nielsen syndicated data * Advanced level analytical and data basing applications experience (Excel and Access) * Experience with Space Planning software | |
