You are a subject matter expert in one of the following areas:
  • Power Generation/Cogeneration
  • Down Hole/Drilling
  • Water Specialization

    You will use this knowledge to help solve the industry’s most important Energy challenges. You will leverage GE’s Global expertise, industrial breadth and technology to address Energy challenges across the Energy sector by creating executable solutions for stakeholders.
  • Lead Voice of the Customer (VoC) initiatives to collect and analyze data and drive innovative thinking to translate into marketable solutions through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Serve as the key technical advisor for the Team, and act as the primary engineering contact to interface between the customer/market needs and the organization
  • Lead problem solving sessions with multiple stakeholders through use of engineering design documents (P&ID, Single Line diagrams, PFD, plot plans, General arrangement diagrams) to facilitate collaborative dialogue.
  • Co-ordinate and support internal and external group discussions and thought leadership events to facilitate solution creation.
  • Technically articulate innovations and present solutions to customers
  • Serve as the key interface between the customer/market needs and the organization to proactively promote and position technology against competitive systems.
  • Drive emerging market growth strategy

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering preferred
  • Minimum ten years of combined process engineering and commercial operations experience
  • Minimum five years of experience within the Energy sector in domain specializations such as power generation, oil sands development/drilling operations, or water specialization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven expertise presenting to mid to executive level customers and groups
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive strategic plans
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses and customers
  • Power generation/Cogeneration Specialization



  • Power generation (gas turbine, gas engine) and electrical distribution.
  • Combined heat and power generation for EOR operations
  • Experienced with the economics of gas turbine, gas engines, fired boiler steam generation
  • Experience with gas engines, aero derivative, and heavy duty gas turbines

    Down Hole Specialization


  • Understanding of reservoir exploitation techniques and the relative economics based on reservoir characteristics.
  • Experience in oil sands asset development
  • Experience in production operations, drilling/completion operations
  • Artificial lift and down hole tools

    Water Specialization


  • Produced water treatment, waste management: evaporators, crystallizers, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, lime softening, ion exchange
  • Management of waste products: lime sludge dewatering, high pH brine management, oil reprocessing.
  • Water chemistry
  • Understanding of the applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations associated to water use/reuse.
  • Experienced in surface facility design fundamentals.
  • Has designed surface or downstream facilities and processes.
