Technical Consultant / Software Integrator
Job Description:
- Provide timely technical consultation to sales, internal partners and customers
- Promote and deliver Professional Services to customers
- Prepare and present our solution to customers
- Document customer requirements
- Assist customer with establishing pilot project, proof of concept
- Define and document customer expectations
- Assist the sales team with documentation for RFPs
- Deliver training to partners and customers
- Participate in industry trades shows and seminars
Travel: Yes, worldwide (25% of time)
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in consulting
- Bilingual resource who can express himself well in English and French (spoken and written)
- Ability to implement monitoring solutions, network systems or any other large server side systems
- Experience integrating software solutions at a customer location
- Autonomy, Initiative, Judgment, Planning, Organizational skills and team spirit
Technical must-have:
- Strong Unix/Linux background, ability to use scripting languages (bash, perl, python, etc?)
- Previous experience using/administrating RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL, etc?)
- Previous experience with monitoring tools: HP Openview, EMC Smarts, IBM Tivoli, SNMP protocol
- (Good to have) Previous experience with performance monitoring tools
