UDC solution covers the following products: HLR, HSS, CUDB, SAPC, PG, IPworks, AUC, EIR, MNP, M2M-FE and UPG products.
 
We are currently looking for a TCM Engineer to join our I&V team, responsible for multi-node and network level installation and verification of UDC nodes. This includes:

• Prepare for installation of software for the different nodes
• Reviewing Delivery Specifications, Test Specification and Test Strategy
• Installing and Configuring UDC nodes in real/virtual network for UNIV Testers.
• Verification and Implementation of installation CPI delivered from Design Units.
• Preparing & maintaining UDC level installation documents.
• Trouble shooting system level and network level issues
• Developing automated configuration scripts according to Network topology
• Improving work processes
• Creation of Logical and Physical Network Diagrams.

 
JOB DESCRIPTION
 
This is a position for an I&V Engineer for the UDC solution.  The main goal of the I&V TCM Engineer is to ensure the successful installation and configuration of the UDM Node Software for in order to perform UNIV level testing.
This includes:
 

• Secure that all Node Software is installed as per CPI and that the software installed is based on the Delivery Specification.
• Develop and design test strategy, test specifications and, test scripts if required
• Implement and execute I&V test cases within a multi node environment
• Secure Trouble shooting of system issues and verifying new features, if applicable
• Developing automated test cases according to test case descriptions and integrate into automation test suites, if and when applicable
• Work in a team environment to help secure quality and characteristics of the UDC solution.
• Work in a team environment to help secure network stability and continued system operation.
• Creation of Trouble Reports (TR)
• Interfacing with Design Units for system trouble resolution.

• Participate to improving work processes

 
COMPETENCE:
 
Education:

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent

 
Experience:

• Pertinent Experience – Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Software or Telecommunications environment

 
Skills/Competencies:

• System test experience in any node of the UDC solution (especially CUDB, HSS, HLR, PG)
• Knowledge of traffic generation & tools (TTCN/TitanSim, SIMU, DummyNet)
• Strong Knowledge of the role of HLR/HSS in the core network
• Knowledge of database technologies (MySQL)
• Excellent knowledge of IP networking, routing and Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Radius, Diameter)
• Knowledge of network management and provisioning (LDAP)
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, TSP (Telecom Server Platform), IS-Blade & EBS (Ericsson Blade Server) would be an asset
• Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required
• Strong knowledge of Fault reporting, System test process, use of administrative tools (e.g. MHWeb, TPT)
• Security and Authentication experience preferred
• Installation and configuration of servers, routers, and switches highly desired.
