3M is seeking a Trade Marketer for the Consumer Business Group located in London, ON. Ready to be part of what's next?
The Trade Marketer leads the process of bringing sales input and brand strategies together to achieve business objectives such as increasing market share, profitability and/or sales volume. In addition, the Trade Marketer is tasked with expanding 3M’s relevance to consumers and channel partners through the use of strong shopper insights. The successful candidate will translate 3M’s brand plans (for brands such as Post-it®, Scotch®, Filtrete™, Scotch-Brite™, Tensor™ and Command™) into actionable marketing tactics for one or more of our largest accounts. This individual will have a strong capacity for analysis, for generating insights from information and for developing and executing consumer-focused plans with our channel partners.
Primary responsibilities:
- Develop & lead execution of annual trade marketing plans in conjunction with Sales & Brand objectives
- Manage, monitor & track trade programs on a monthly basis, including product listing tracking and performance, recommending changes for continuous improvement
- Complete regular customer & business analysis based on shopper behaviour insights, program performance and other reporting (working closely with Analysts)
- Maximize trade spending efficiencies & effectiveness through budget tracking and ROI (return on investment) analysis
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree (Business preferred)
- Minimum two years experience in a marketing or sales/trade role, showing data analysis & planning as primary demonstrated skills
- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills (verbal, written & presentation)
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (sales, operations & marketing preferred)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize & meet deadlines within specified timelines
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Project management experience
- Experience in a consumer packaged goods environment is preferred
- Budget management
- Technology skills: Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Syndicated Data analysis (IRI/Nielsen)
- French/English bilingualism is an asset
