Overview

Vega has a current opening for a Regional Sales Manager – Southwest. Reporting to the Western Territory Sales Manager – US, the RSM is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving monthly sales targets, managing and mentoring Account Managers, and initiating and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing and potential customers in the health food and natural grocery channels.

Location

This full-time position encompasses Southern California, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Reliable vehicle access is required for local area trainings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the hiring, training, motivating, mentoring and developing of all Account Managers and Brokers in the territory
  • Drive territory sales through world-class customer service, strategic business planning, teamwork and relationship building
  • Manage and develop key accounts within the territory
  • Initiate and lead regional sales team meetings in order to promote collaboration and the Vega culture
  • Establish revenue and trade spend budgets for all Account Managers and brokers within the territory
  • Execute National Account plans with field sales team at store level
  • Develop and implement sales KPI’s and other sales metrics; provide rep and account summaries to management team
  • Provide input on marketing and co-op advertising opportunities and ensure the sales team executes with accounts

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in Sales Management with direct reports
  • University or College Degree in Business, Marketing, or Nutrition or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of positive sales results and territory management in the natural products industry
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Previous CRM use an asset
  • Leadership program or Management training an asset
