The
SAP MII Developer is responsible for end-to-end development activities
related Sandvine’s Enterprise Resource Planning system and its related
components. Working within the Information Technology group, the
incumbent is responsible for planning, analyzing, developing,
maintaining systems, system configuration, enhancements and the creation
of required documentation, unit and system testing and the coordination
of cross-functional activities with the other teams. The SAP MII
Developer will be responsible for following best practices within the
Software Development Lifecycle framework, understanding the
manufacturing process, working with a business analyst during the
requirements elicitation phase and will be directly accountable for SAP
MII application development, including the web-based front end,
transactional components, data access and data integration queries to
external data systems.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for estimate, design specification, development, day-to-day operational
support and maintenance related to SAP MII system and the assigned
sub-modules within SAP
- Identify, analyze and recommend changes to avert application outages and increase stability
- Responsible
for active support and adherence to IT Service Management procedures,
support and compliance with incident, change and release management
process, and monitoring/supporting the established quality assurance and
testing process
- Communicate
ongoing efforts, findings, analysis with SAP team, manufacturing
business customers, IT leadership and evangelize IT and SAP throughout
the organization
- Routinely quantify and qualify IT application systems quality and reliability
- Obtain
approval for architectural changes through the Architecture Review
Board (ARB) and establish a long-term roadmap for MII and how it will
support Sandvine’s evolving process
- Constant
learning to improve skill base and business acumen and manufacturing
process knowledge based on the latest industry trends related to SAP
Manufacturing Solutions
- Regularly
communicate with the team to identify improvement opportunities and
develop action plans addressing these areas based on pro-active problem
solving techniques
- Support
Enterprise IT Architecture and seek to implement constant improvement
and optimization of ECC, PI and Portal systems, leveraging your
experience integrating SAP ECC and SAP MII
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical diploma or related experience
- 3+ years of experience working with SAP MII implementations or integration projects
- Experience working one or more SAP modules (PP, QM, MM)
- Experience with application development in: Java, .NET, ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL
and PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, BASH and TCL script, Linux/Unix and
experience with FreeBSD, Web Services, Infor Visual ERP, AJAX, XML
Parsing
- Experience leveraging the following tools: Visual
Studio (C#), Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Microsoft SQL
Server and Oracle Database, Excel, Putty, MII Workbench, Crystal
Reports.
- Ability
to work in collaborative environment with internal/external vendors and
business partners, make good decisions, and flex your problem solving
ability beyond what is at face value
- Demonstrated
knowledge of the latest technology innovations and their applicability
to business operations and business process redesign in a manufacturing
environment
- Understanding of an array of testing practices, (regression, functional, acceptance, load testing)
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP functionalities and sub-modules
- Knowledge of web-based applications, SAP Portal development preferred
- Ability
to work effectively in a team environment, communicate with others,
customer centric, provide solutions with tangible and measurable
business value
- Experience with developing in an Agile environment and organizing enhancements
- Experience writing in ABAP and Web Dynpro is considered an asset
