| Job Purpose: * Represents Novartis Animal Health and promotes products to the veterinary profession and consumers. * Promotes both Novartis Animal Health and its products in the veterinary field i.e. key opinion leaders, animal health technician colleges and veterinary schools. * Provides skills enabling a high level of customer service in Technical Product Support. * Provide support for Suspected Adverse Drug Events investigation as requested by the pharmacovigilance group. Major Accountabilities: 1. Addresses technical issues regarding products by responding to veterinarian, consumer and employee inquiries in a timely manner. Conducts follow-up on technical requests when appropriate. 2. Handles technical inquiries on products requiring veterinary expertise such as off label indications, technical advice on products/clinical cases and provide scientific studies in response to specific requests. 3. Involve the pharmacovigilance group when hear about SADE’s according to internal SOP and provide support for SADE investigation upon request by the pharmacoviiglance group. 4. Promotes company name and products at the veterinary schools, by calling on specialists and key influencers by public speaking engagements to improve market position and by coordinating national programs to increase awareness of NAH products. 5. Develops and conducts technical presentations to a variety of audiences. 6. Provides technical accounts support to territory managers as needed and participates in training and update of sales representatives on technical aspects of products as needed. 7. Reviews assigned trade journals and scientific symposium proceedings to make others aware of information that may impact NAH products. 8. Assists in the production of technical tools and internal documents needed to support the sales force. 9. Assists and participates in addressing and solving issues in the competitive intelligence area and formulating responses to technical challenges that nay arise. Note: Position is best based out of Calgary and/or Vancouver. This is due to clients/customers and level of travel. | |
| Education: * Doctorate Veterinary Medicine Experience: * 4+ years’ private veterinary experience and/or industry experience. * Full practicing Veterinarian License within one of the Canadian provinces. * Overtime and/or weekend work is occasionally required. * Willingness to travel. * Driving skills, and a valid provincial drivers’ license required.
