The Business

American Express Merchant Services is a growing organization dedicated to supporting the growth of small and large merchants alike. The organization is on a journey to deliver transformational enhancements on the overall Merchant experience and is now looking for creative, analytical and entrepreneurial individuals to drive the business forward.

The Marketing Analyst/Sr. Marketing Analyst, Merchant Experience role will join the exciting portfolio responsible for enhancing the customer experience and satisfaction among Canadian merchants. The role involves communication and content strategy development and emerging digital assets through website optimization.

The Role

The Marketing Analyst/Sr. Marketing Analyst, Merchant Experience will be responsible for creating concepts and executing winning marketing programs/campaigns to enhance the merchant customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

* Communication Strategy & Development – Develop and align products and services with the merchant brand positioning across new and existing merchant relationships. Create clear and compelling communications that differentiate and create desire to grow partnership with American Express. Evaluate channel effectiveness to optimize efficiencies.
* Site Design & User Experience – Strategically design all online assets to support message delivery, create an easy, intuitive user experience and enable the capability to efficiently deliver customized messaging to build relevance and engagement with targeted audience segments.
* Test and Learn Optimization – Build and support the test and learn ethos within the team to rigorously measure success of marketing programs and drive engagement strategies
* Reporting & Analysis – Understand and analyze engagement results and make use of this intelligence to inform future business decisions
* Site Maintenance – Support ongoing site maintenance and continuous improvements, including launch of new products, features and services

Qualifications

* University Degree or equivalent combination of education and business experience
* Superior communication and influencing skills. This includes writing decks, presenting to peers and senior management, and being able to sell new ideas and solutions
* Project Management skills including executing marketing campaigns and budget management
* Strong driver of results and will to win
* Excellent relationship-building skills
* Good business understanding and successful track record in delivering innovative projects a plus
* Analytical skills and previous optimization experience will be highly regarded
* Previous experience in managing Online customer experience desired
