Description

The Manager, Professional Services will lead a team of Solution Architects with the Professional Services Delivery team.  The MPS must have prior experience in professional services and team management skills.  This includes customer facing and communication skills that will allow the individual to effectively interact with Sandvine’s customer base of Internet Service Providers and Multi-Service Operators ranging from teir-3 to teir-1.  The MPS will lead and coach fellow team members towards achieving corporate and personal goals.  A passion for planning, clean execution and customer success while also striving for efficiencies in delivery while not compromising quality.  The Professional Services team is responsible for designing and delivering custom and packaged services.  The PS Architect team is primarily responsible for the collection of requirements and design during the delivery process.  Their engagement is during the Design Development of the Service Delivery Lifecycle and continues through to the end of Deployment.


Responsibilities:
  • Manages Solution Architect resources at various levels of seniority, approximately 10 direct reports. Track, plan and develop team members in a way to ensure continued growth while also aligning skills development and training to align with the New Product Generation process
  • Measure team members productivity and seek areas of improvement in both design and process including weekly utilization targets
  • Establish and meet key performance and deliverable metrics
  • Set and communicate priorities to team
  • Resolve conflicts with priorities while also messaging delays within the organization
  • Ensures the delivery meets the criteria outlined in the SOW, meets the customer's expectations, and that the customer is successful and satisfied with the implementation of the solution. 
  • Promotes professional services best practices and knowledge sharing

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a professional services organization
  • Demonstrated management experience, including reporting, planning, implementation and deployment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field required.
  • Experience in hiring and managing contractors
  • Experience with working with Sales
  • Demonstrated proficiency MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Experience in a hands-on capacity of delivering or projects
  • Experience with the design and delivery of both Software and Hardware solutions
  • Effective collaborator with proven process improvement skills.
  • Customer Support experience
