Job description

Integrated Risk Platform is a recent initiative within IBM Risk Analytics focused on enabling clients to better control and leverage their risk data for business purposes. The IRP (Integrated Risk Platform) team is responsible for developing and launching this new product.
Reporting to the World Wide Solution Leader, Integrated Risk Platform, a Senior Business Intelligence Modeler is primarily responsible for designing and implementing reports related to integrated, enterprise risk management. This includes design and implementation of data structures, metadata, report templates, report widgets, and interactive components on the dashboard. You will work with the team to ensure that all elements are coherently and properly implemented, including testing, test plan design and report validation.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Modeler, you will work with a diverse team of other professionals based from our Research and Development Department in Toronto. Working closely with other developers, product managers, business analysts, and architects, you will work to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product features and requirements.
The Senior Business Intelligence Modeler has strong business analysis skills including the ability to translate client requirements into technical requirements. The Senior Business Intelligence Modeler has a practical knowledge of financial services sector reporting and data concepts, and an excellent command of IBM Cognos tools such as IBM Cognos TM1, which he or she will leverage to augment frameworks and produce user-oriented reports.
Skills

• Sound knowledge of finance, banking and/or risk management
• Experienced TM1 data modeler
• Familiarity with Unix systems, Infosphere and DB2
• Analytical and problem solving mindset
• Self reliant, self starter, self motivated, requiring minimal supervision
• Proven interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Education & Job Experience Minimum Requirements
• 5+ years of TM1 data model development experience
• 2+ years of BI, Cognos development experience (esp. Cognos 10.x)
• 2+ years experience in Business analysis, requirements gathering, and requirements translation into BI solution design
• Experience working in a software development environment, and proven knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• 5+ years of problem solving experience
• 5+ years of Data Modeling experience (esp. snowflake)
• 2+ years of Financial Modeling experience, including OTC derivatives
• 2+ years of report design / layout experience
