We are currently recruiting a Branch Manager for an opportunity in Enderby, BC. Applying the principles of sales and service excellence and conducting strategic/cross functional planning, the branch manager is accountable for the operations, sales management, financial and growth performance of their branch. The branch manager is responsible for: promoting the Credit Union within the community; developing and enhancing long-term member relationships; profit and expense controls; promoting the Credit Union culture within their branch. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day branch administrative activities, responsibilities include: staff hiring, coaching and employee development; ensuring staff retention through the application of relationship-building principles; providing effective performance management and development opportunities; promoting teamwork to maximize the performance of all branch staff in the delivery of proactive, quality service to members to ensure the overall success of the branch.
Candidates will hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree and have a minimum of four years’ experience in a financial institution or have the equivalent practical business experience. Active enrolment in, or completion of, the Investment Funds Institute of Canada course is required, as well as completion of the Canadian Securities course. A strong track record in balancing the external need for productive business development with the internal need for successful people management is required. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, loans origination systems and customer relationship management are required, as well as proficiency working with internet and web-based applications. Knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, products and services and strong involvement in the Kelowna community would be considered assets.
