Specialist, Assembly Line Control - Planning - Production Control-13-019 & 13-020

Description

 
Position Summary:
 
Monitor Andons and report on production status, abnormalities for all shops, lines and sub-lines.
Regular communications with shop floor on production issues and related downtime.
Analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data and generate monthly production reports with accuracy. 
Provide recommendations and support daily management decisions on production line balancing activities.
Utilize problem solving and Toyota Production System methodologies on a daily basis.
Project activity as required (lead and support roles).
Infrequent travel may be required with North America and abroad.

Qualifications

 
Education:
 
University Degree:  Business Administration, BSc., Mathematics
College Diploma:  Logistics and Materials Management
 
Work Experience/Skill Summary:
 
  • Aptitude for working with numbers.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft functions - advanced EXCEL and/or ACCESS would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven problem identification and advanced problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership with experience in Project Management.
  • Strong organizational skills essential.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast changing environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Requires rotating shifts and regular overtime support.
