As a New Relationship Development (NRD) Manager, Vendor - you will lead the identification, development & origination of new captive, sole-source or multi-funder financing programs with manufacturers and their distribution partners. You will manage the full sales cycle, and work cross-functionally to deliver sustainable volume and margin growth for the Vendor platform. NRD sits at the core of GE Capital’s growth imperative, and this role will be central to its success.
  • Identify & develop new vendor financing relationships with major equipment manufacturers, dealers, distributors, etc.
  • Lead the entire sales process from prospect through to sign; including full coordination of external and internal stakeholders throughout the deal life cycle
  • Develop, deliver customer proposals/presentations (RFPs, program requests)
  • Construct and execute strategic account plans to optimize calling efforts
  • Negotiate vendor financing/program agreements
  • Liaise with global NRD professionals to ensure a streamlined experience for multi-jurisdictional EF opportunities
  • MBA or Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Management or a related field
  • 6+ years’ experience interacting directly with senior (C-level) management in a customer-facing capacity (sales, business development, etc.)
  • 3+ years’ experience independently negotiating contractual terms and legal documentation with a commensurate track record of successful deal execution
  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B secured lending/leasing
  • Operational knowledge of leasing structures, pricing and collateral types
  • Ability to work effectively leading (or as part of) a cross-functional deal team without direct-line influence; outstanding deal/project management skills


    Please note that the work location can be either Mississauga, Burlington or Toronto.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize insight-selling techniques to influence decision makers by providing a unique perspective
  • Existing relationships with key decision-makers, and/or industry specialization, in the Manufacturing, Transportation, Mining, Construction or Technology sectors
  • Firm understanding of the Canadian equipment finance competitive landscape (Banks, FinCos, Captives, etc.)
