Description
The
Supervisor, Pricing and Corporate Actions is responsible for reviewing
all the pricing and corporate action tasks within the group for various
clients within CFSC. The successful candidate will also be responsible
for staff supervision and maintain compliance with all departmental
policies and procedures with a focus on minimizing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all staff, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure daily valuations and corporate actions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Responsible for overseeing security master file maintenance on a daily basis.
- Motivate and mentor staff for continued growth and success.
- Respond accurately and timely to auditor and client requests
- Ability to step in and assist staff when necessary to meet all timelines.
- Assist analysts in resolving complex corporate action issues.
- Ability to identify ways to increase efficiencies in daily process.
- Ensure any safekeeping discrepancies resulting from corporate actions are resolved in a timely manner.
- Participate in the planning and rollout of new clients and/or funds as required.
- Escalate any issues to senior management as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years Mutual Fund accounting experience
- Post-secondary education, preferably in a University degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline.
- Previous experience with Corporate Actions recommended
- Possess fundamental accounting knowledge
- Previous supervisory experience and dealing with staffing issues an asset.
- Knowledge of capital markets
- Knowledge of Bloomberg an asset
- Knowledge of MPower an asset
- Enrolment in professional accounting designation or CFA an asset
- Proficiency in Excel an asset
- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Clear and concise documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate in an affective manner with other groups within CFSC
