Provide general administrative support to the District Manager and other district personnel. District Assistant has frequent and continual interaction with the Branches and Headquarters personnel. This position requires performing numerous administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, answering telephones, ordering supplies, paying bills, preparing new hire and other personnel action documents, open and distribute mail, logs, manuals and files. In addition, the position requires organizing district and training meetings, planning and preparing training material, setting up conference calls and making travel arrangements, and producing and compiling accurate daily, monthly and quarterly reports to be used at the district, region and division levels. As needed, the District Assistant will also assume relief assignments in the branch. Successful candidate will be required to complete a series of background checks including criminal, education and employment verifications.
. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Experience Requires one to two years of directly related work experience in: o Administrative experience. o Finance experience. (consumer finance preferred) o Branch environment experience. 3. Problem Solving/Analytical Skills o Perform basic mathematical calculations. o Prepare programs, reports and charts. o Prioritize mail. o Research and respond to region and branch inquiries promptly and accurately. 4. Communication Skills o Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, managers and customers. o Demonstrated effective verbal, written and listening skills. o Professional telephone skills and manners. 5. Interpersonal Skills o Ability to work as a member of a team. o Ability to delegate work to all levels of employees and management. o Demonstrated ability to work directly with people in a customer service capacity. 6. Office Equipment/Machines o Familiarity with PC-like hardware/software, including PC keyboard and mouse. o Ability to efficiently use typewriter, calculator, fax machine, copier, postage machine, and/or Dictaphone.
