Key Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Market Director - Alberta, the ZSL will develop their front-line sales and people leadership skills in the management of 6 District Sales Managers with a DSD retail sales force of over 100 people.
Responsibilities include:
· Meet or exceed all Sales Objectives for a $53M business while maintaining an assigned selling expense budget;
· Identify, coach, motivate and lead a team of District Sales Managers to deliver business and people targets;
· Focus on achieving people metrics goals with a long term People Strategy for the Zone;
· Ensure that proper Product supply forecasting is complete support the VIP process;
· Leverage internal business partners to support the Zone;
· Implement through the development of DSL personnel, all sales, marketing, merchandising and human resources programs;
· Recommend improvements and implement new processes and programs where necessary;
· Lead change initiatives effectively ensuring on-going communication with frontline people and managers and ensuring on-going input as the project progresses;
· Able to travel regularly (at least 30-40% of time)to ensure consistent leadership and sales standards within the Zone and to attend regional meetings.
Minimum
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree
· 7+ years experience with a consumer packaged goods or retail organization
· Exceptional leadership skills
· Proven people management and people development experience
· A strong professional image, ethical standards and a high level of integrity
· Solid problem-solving and group facilitation skills
· Outstanding organizational skills as demonstrated by your ability to set and handle multiple priorities
· Strong influence and negotiation skills
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Solid presentation skills
· Proven change management capability
· Knowledge of a DSD system
· Sales strategy, customer marketing and retail experience preferred
