The following student position(s) is/are a part of IBM Canada's EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. This/These position(s) is/are only open to students registered in a Canadian University or College program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who must be returning to full-time study upon the completion of the temporary IBM work term. JOB TITLE: Software Developer – Co-op Main Responsibilities include: Employees in this role use design documentation, such as Functional Programming Specifications and high level design documents to implement the identified components. They also ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. Software developers also provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team during the software development life cycle. You will work as part of eAccess team to design/develop/test Java/JavaScript client/server web applications and tools. Some development will also involve interfacing with hardware devices. Some of our local projects include Air Canada Check-in, and TTC kiosks Qualification: Experience with Windows Operating Systems Knowledge of the software development cycle Experience with various programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C, C++, HTML) Experience in low level device driver development is an asset. Experience in developing web application is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communications skills Coop or internship program enrollment an asset WHAT IBM OFFERS YOU: 1.
