Job description
IBM is seeking a Risk Consultant, IBM Algo Risk Service on Cloud to strengthen the Algo Risk Service team.

Algo Risk Service (ARS) offers risk managers, portfolio managers, traders, and quantitative analysts a robust risk management and portfolio modelling environment to monitor, manage, and optimize risk across all asset classes and investment strategies. Hosted by IBM-Algorithmics and delivered over the internet, ARS provides access to state-of-the-art risk measurement and investment support tools through a sophisticated and flexible graphical user interface. The key responsibility of Risk Consultants in the ARS group is to provide functional and financial modeling expertise to Algorithmics clients using the service.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that best practices and high-quality standards are maintained throughout an implementation project.
  • Assist in the configuration and validation for the delivery of custom client solutions.
  • Provide instruction and guidance for users of ARS and its interface, the Algo Risk Application (ARA), on risk analysis and portfolio construction techniques.
  • Assist clients in financial validation of models as implemented in the ARS platform and the documentation of the assumptions and techniques used.
  • Research, specification and validation of new enhancements to the ARS platform as implemented in client environments.

  • Strong practical knowledge of investment markets, financial market conventions, and risk management practices.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

    Education
  • University degree in the field of Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced degree in Financial Engineering or Mathematical Finance highly desirable.
  • CFA, PRMIA or FRM designation(s) beneficial.
  • Required
