| Job Purpose: The District Manager is responsible for recognition, growth and development of the sales team; in conjunction with the accountability to achieve or exceed their district sales targets. Additionally, the District Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the district field sales force activities. Provides tactical territory/market input. Incorporates NAH Shared Values and Behaviors into performing all aspects of the position described below. Major Accountabilities: * Meets or exceeds annual sales objectives within the district. * Manages district expense budget (travel actuals) within forecast parameters. * Ensures market penetration for new and existing accounts while maintaining existing markets. * Ensures strategic/successful introduction of new products by sales team. * Develops and executes district business plan to grow district sales and ensure the use of and successful implementation of Key Account/Partnership Program strategies to maximize territory and district growth. * Plans, directs and coordinates sales team activities (training, regional meetings, NSM’s, field coaching days) and support marketing driven meetings. * Communicates territory/market activity to General Manager/Director of Sales. * Demonstrates and coaches the NAH shared Values and Behaviours. * Manages sales team personal development, Talent Management System (“TMS”) and succession planning. * Provide solutions for the district commercial issues. * Works with marketing and sales to enhance key partnership programs. * Responsible for recruiting, hiring, on-boarding of field sales team members. * Reviews brand sales forecast monthly to supply input to MKT to improve forecast accuracy. * Prepares annual territory business plan. * Performs other related duties and assignments as required. * It is preferable that the candidate be based out of Calgary for this territory. * Travel: Approximately 60% - 70% travel. | |
| Background/Experience: * 7-10 Years Sales Experience in Consumer Goods arena. * 2 + Years Managing/Mentoring Sales Teams. Education: * BS/BA or equivalent work experience. |
