The Senior Software Developer will be an integral part of IBM's Security Intelligence software development team that is responsible for delivering new and enhanced feature functionality for the Security Intelligence product line. Duties and Responsibilities: Creation of functional specifications and detailed designs from product level requirements. Performing unit and integration tests on new software. Investigating and recommending technical alternatives and solutions as required. Collaboration with the Customer Support team to assist in troubleshooting field issues Collaboration with the Quality Assurance team to ensure a quality product delivery Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in a Computer Science / Computer Engineering 5+ years of Software Development experience High level of experience with designing and implementing High Availability applications Specific Skills Required: Experience developing in Java, C/C++, PostgreSQL, Perl DRBD Experience coding, debugging highly concurrent, distributed multi threaded JAVA applications Troubleshooting / resolving memory leaks, performance issues in software and Linux OS Multitasking and juggling many tasks and responsibilities at the same time Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills High level of experience with designing and implementing High Availability applications Required Bachelor's Degree At least 5 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Operating Systems At least 5 years experience in Use Programming Languages At least 5 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Software Methodologies English: Fluent Preferred Engineering Additional information Desirable Skills: Linux, Security Software, DRBD PostgreSQL JMS Hibernate Eclipse Ant JDBC (TX Management) JProfiler JMX Web Services (JAXWS) Eclipse Memory Analyzer Perl, Bash IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
