The senior software developer will be a key member of a diverse and talented team, who will build new and innovative software used in the automation control industry. You will be working on an Agile Scrum team and reporting to the software development manager.
• Ability to work effectively on a team while providing technical leadership
• Design, build, integrate, and test product backlog items (features) into high quality shippable software
• Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables
• Identify and call out roadblocks to delivering software
• Translate customer needs into engineering requirements
• Role model and mentor to other developers on technologies, process, and company values
• Play a key role in regular team reviews and retrospectives to identify and fix gaps in our development process
• Actively participates in process improvements
• Regularly assist other development teams and customer support with technical issues
• Investigate and evaluate new technologies
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing enterprise web applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing with .NET technologies like C#, WPF, WCF
• Previous leadership experience, including responsibility for the mentorship of a team
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Results and customer oriented
• Strong desire to constantly learn new things, and integrate them into your working skill set
• Able to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
• Good judgment and strong decision making skills
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JQuery, MSSQL, MVC4.
• Experience developing web applications on cloud platforms (Azure, Amazon)
• Experience developing enterprise level web services and applications
• Experience with Agile Development using Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with software applications in the manufacturing, transportation, or infrastructure (power, water, mining, etc.) industries
