for developing new business and maintaining sources of business for
lease and term financing across Canada for the Intermediary Funding
origination platform.
Responsible
for growing GE Capital’s market share in the Intermediary Funding
market segment by deepening our relationship with existing financing
Intermediaries and developing new Intermediary relationships with
prospects; generating quality profitable business; improving conversion
rates and increasing the Intermediary market coverage.
Understand GE Capital’s value proposition by Intermediary
segment and across customer profile within various GE Capital business
verticals (T&C, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Mining, Aircraft,
Vendor, etc).
Manage the existing Intermediary relationships and
portfolio, ensuring customer service expectations are met and assisting
the risk team with any distressed accounts.
Have the financial acumen to be able to read and analyze
financial statements and structure a value added deal for the client
within reasonable risk tolerances at an appropriate return.
Negotiate contractual obligations with Intermediaries and clients for lease and loan transactions.
Obtain and maintain Intermediary Approvals on all Intermediaries that we are transacting with.
Work collaboratively with credit, pricing, capital market and legal teams through the various stages of each transaction.
Bachelor’s Degree and (2+) years’ experience in the Equipment Finance financial services or investment management industry
Broad knowledge and network in the Intermediary Financing marketplace
Established network within the Intermediary community and major financial institutions covering the Canadian market
Superior client relationship and negotiation Skills
Ability to interface with Senior Management decision makers for small to larger SME’s
Solid experience in business development and financial analysis is essential
Must effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Must be ready to travel when required
Strong team player and eager to learn
Creative thinking and imagination to explore and deliver unique financing solutions to our customers
Positive, proactive and resilient mindset
Bilingual
Must be able to set goals, execute plans, achieve results,
and perform in a sales environment. Key metrics for success will be:
coverage of Intermediaries, Intermediary prospects conversion; new
business volume, profitability and growth.
MBA, CA, MSC or CFA designation is an asset
Knowledge and Intermediary network active in the following
industries: T&C, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Corporate
Aircraft
