| IBM SAP Sales and Distribution Consultant Position IBM Global Business Services has more than 60,000 professionals in over 50 countries worldwide. This opportunity is for an individual with both SAP experience in the Sales and Distribution Module and a thorough business background in the Consumer Packaged Goods space. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping IBM to continue being recognized as the premiere SAP solutions implementer in North America. Responsibilities for the position include: • Assessment of business and application requirements • Driving the development of functional and system specifications • Conducting fit/gap analysis and business process modeling • Configuring the software to business requirements • Developing and executing tests to confirm the functionality • Maintaining necessary documentation • Actively performing knowledge transfer to clients • Communicating in a team environment with clients and colleagues • Providing support for deployment and sustainment as necessary Necessary qualifications for the position include: (1) SAP Skills: • Minimum 2-3 years SAP implementation experience - ideally 2 full project lifecycles with the SD Module, with a focus on logistics • Strong configuration skills in SAP versions 4.6C and above - preferred applicants will be certified in version 4.6C or higher • Extensive experience designing and configuring the key integration points between the Sales and Distribution Module and other SAP modules, with a specific focus on Finance integration from a freight costing perspective • Strong familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies, including ASAP • Solid experience implementing solution leading practice SAP solutions at Consumer Packaged Goods companies • EDI, Order Management and Pricing experience is a plus Note, the below SAP Skill is not a requirement, but a nice to have: (2) Business Skills: • Strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task within a dynamic workplace • Thorough experience and knowledge of consulting practices and techniques • A comprehensive understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods industry leading practices, specifically in the areas of logistics and transportation • The ability to develop strong relationships with clients, including building rapports and scope-management • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to deliver quality results with an aggressive timeline • Effective coaching and knowledge transfer skills • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Exceptional communication and presentation skills • The ability to thrive in a team environment | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
