Reporting to the Assistant Director of Corporate Communications, Americas region, the incumbent will be supporting IATA internal and external communications efforts in the Montreal Headquarters. Responsibilities
Provide external and internal communications support for the divisions and support functions based in IATA's Montreal Headquarters while working in close coordination with the Assistant Director Corporate Communications for the Americas. This includes Safety and Flight Operations, Marketing and Commercial Services, Legal, and People, Performance and Development; Be the primary contact for Canadian media and general support for IATA's activities in Canada; Support preparation of media materials including press releases, fact sheets and other IATA initiatives such as newsletters; Maintain good relations with the communications departments of IATA airlines in Canada, ICAO and other key Canada-based stakeholders. Qualifications and Skills
University degree with at least 5 years of experience in media relations (agency or in-house) or journalism; Fluent in both English and French with superb written skills in both; Good attention to detail with strong logistic skills and excellent data management capabilities to deal with high volumes of information; Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team to tight deadlines in pressurized situations with excellent customer service skills; Aviation industry knowledge a plus.
