& Young's Financial Services Advisory (FSA) unit is a specialty
advisory practice that provides integrated market, credit and
operational risk management; operations improvement, business
integration, and strategic cost management; and regulatory and treasury
advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets
participants. FSA includes individuals who have industry, client and
product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project
management and technology professionals. Our teams work together to
coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business
performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial
banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and
energy trading companies, and other organizations.
The Business Performance/Financial Transformation Senior Manager focuses on leading our team in business development generation, client relationship management, project execution, and product development.

Advise clients on the creation of or transformation to an efficient and effective finance function within an organization.
Help
identify, assess, improve, manage, and measure the financial functions
which might include: financial and regulatory reporting, allocations,
budgeting, forecasting, and accounts payable.
Participate in recruiting, develop and train professionals, speak at industry events, and develop standard methodology for advisory projects.

To qualify, candidates must have:
- a bachelor's degree or MBA with a concentration in accounting, finance, or operations research
- a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
Industry Skills in:
- capital markets, banking, asset management and insurance industry operating environments and products
- controller and finance department business processes and systems within financial services organizations
- regulatory/compliance concepts prevalent in banking, securities, insurance, and asset management activities
Functional Skills in:
- project and program management experience in the areas of strategic initiatives including business process improvement and control evaluation, finance function rationalization and transformation
- financial systems, financial reporting and close processes through a position in accounting or finance departments of a financial institution or in a public accounting firm
Successful candidates must also have the ability to travel 40%-50%.
