 This role is a developmental role for those individuals striving to be a member of the Servus Wealth Strategies team. As the successful candidate, a formal career developmental plan can be established. Upon successful completion of a minimum of 2 years of insurance sales, the Insurance Specialist will be looking towards an Investment Specialist, Investment Advisor or Wealth Protection Specialist role. As a key contributing teammate of Servus Wealth Strategies, the insurance specialist will compliment the financial planning process by understanding, identifying and recommending insurance solutions to the members.
Principal Duties
Networking and Support
  • Responding to branch initiated member referrals to assist members with their insurance needs
  • Build and maintain a referral network as an integral part of the Servus Wealth Strategies Insurance team. Committing to and educating on the insurance referral process
  • Provide updates to referral sources based on Member’s First Service Promise
  • Effectively support Retail Branch partners in successfully achieving and surpassing their referral targets.
Sales            
  •  Ensure careful methodical review of present and future financial needs for new and existing members
  •  Set, achieve and monitor targets and timeframes
  •  Keep accurate records and provide feedback of sales related activities
  •  Contact members to offer new products and services
  •  Proactively respond to branch initiated member referrals in order to complete a risk management analysis

Qualifications
Experience
  • 2 or more years of insurance and/or financial planning experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of members and offer the appropriate solutions and resolutions required
  •   Proven experience with business development planning/execution
 Licenses/Certificates:
  •   Life and Accident Insurance License in the Province of Alberta and/or Saskatchewan
  •  CFP preferred
