Job Summary
The
Education Development Executive (Instructional Technology Specialist)
will be responsible for delivering and sometimes developing messaging
regarding the instructional advantages of Apple technologies to
post-secondary education customers (PSE), K-12 education customers,
field sales and consultants.
Key Qualifications
- Exemplary leadership skills in the successful implementation of digital resources in teaching, learning and research.
- Strong presentation skills, written skills and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge and use of Apple products and a passion for sharing that knowledge.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Canadian education marketplace (trends, sizing, market research).
- Demonstrated education content development suitable for mobile devices. (Web, Apps, iBooks, etc…)
- 7 years experience in field marketing/sales experience.
- This position will be located in Toronto (GTA) and will primarily support K-20 education for all Canada.

Key
Expectations
• Drive sales through implementation of sales and marketing plans
• Drive Apple core message of 1-1 deployment for better student
learning
• Present Apple solutions to PSE executives (C-level or VP Level) and
faculty leaders (Dean, and directors)
• Identify ways in which technology can enhance: teaching, learning,
research and publishing process
• Support local sales efforts by creating and delivering strategic
customer presentations at conferences, briefings and sales calls
• Support local sales efforts by mentoring sales and technical sales
team
• Manage the efforts of Apple Distinguished Educators.
• Recommend specific instructional technology solutions for customers
including mobile solutions and 1-1 learning projects.
• Extensive travel required including frequent overnight stays.
• Position requires a high level of energy and extended hours on a
daily basis.
• Deliver teacher professional development programs for mobility
integration and other technology implementations ensuring that the
professional services for teachers reflect the highest level of
instructional intervention
Education
• Post-grad degree in Education, Ph.D. preferred.
