Our Client is seeking a Capital Markets Development Team Lead for their Counterparty Risk Trading group. Candidates will require excellent communcation skills as you will be dealing with trading/quant groups on a frequent basis.
Candidates should have experience of complex derivative valuation systems, a fair understanding of products and trade lifecycle and be capable of generating independent ideas and able to work effectively within a global team split across several different locations and time zones.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage a technology development team based in Toronto.
* Develop, test and assist in the design of the Counterparty Risk Trading technology platform.
* Collaborate with business and quant teams to develop collaborative solutions.
* Provide local third-line technical support for the platform.
* Collaborate with other teams to develop solutions in line with strategic IT architecture.

Technical
* Highly skilled in Java / .NET.
* Highly skilled in SQL.
Required
* Expert-level experience with object oriented languages and design patterns
* Experience with databases and distributed cache products (Oracle, IBM ExtremeScale, etc)
* Experience with cross-platform technologies (XML, RV)
* Experinece supervising small development teams
Preferred
* Experience working with complex derivative products.
* Experience developing, maintaining, deploying, and supporting Front Office applications
* Understanding of multi-threaded, distributed application development.
