The market place of standalone communication is evolving embracing changes that occur from the LTE and IMS. There is a strong demand from operators to offer enhanced services to compete against the OTT providers. RCS provides the ability to evolve from basic legacy sms to an enriched communication experience for voice, video and file transfer
PDU Converged Core is responsible for the development of Core and IMS products. We are a global organization with main governance in Sweden and with operations in Sweden, Spain, Hungary, China and Canada.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
· Ensure the successful integration of the IMS Messaging product within the IMS network.
· Install and set up the test environment for all I&V activities
· Ensure high quality installation procedures (documentation as well as MCQ)
· Execute test cases (both functional and system test)
· Ensure the stability, performance, robustness, characterization and dimensioning of the product (SW & HW)
· Develop test automation framework and test cases for both function and system testing
· Document test case results in a clear and professional manner
· Troubleshoot the system to verify the IMS messaging product in an end-to-end network environment. This involves troubleshooting and capturing problems related to the IMS Messaging application, platform, core as well as core network
· The candidate needs to be a self starter and work collaboratively in a cross-functional agile environment with other I&V as well as with the development teams as required.
· Participates in IMS Messaging product platform and HW support & evolution
· Interact with first line support to handle customer support requests. Will involve on-call
· Work on Project and / or Maintenance activities
· Understands and contributes to products / processes / methods / tools improvements
 
 
COMPETENCIES
· Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
· Excellent knowledge and experience in IP Network Integration and Verification
· Excellent experience with Linux / Unix systems administration
· Excellent knowledge of scripting practices and languages (Perl, Shell, etc).
· Excellent knowledge of IMS Messaging related protocols such as: SIP, MSRP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, IMAP, SS7, etc..
· Excellent knowledge of Oracle and HP hardware, Servers, Blade systems and Virtualization (XEN, VMWARE)
· Good knowledge of Core Network nodes (eg. CSCF, HSS).
· Good knowledge and experience in SS7/SIGTRAN Network Integration and Verification
· Experience with test tools (ex:Henkel, Protocol analyzers, Solver, Wireshark, ILT)
· Experience with Test Automation tools including TTCN and ILT
OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES (ASSETS):

· Experience with MCQ installation framework
· Experience with Git
· Ability to lead a team
· Ability to work under pressure
· Excellent communication skills
