Position Purpose:
We are hiring for the role of Senior Account Manager, Business & Personal in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate can be supported by RBC's Senior Account Manager Business & Personal Training program. Once the program has been completed you will contribute to meeting your sales and market plan by attracting, retaining and growing profitable client relationships. Your primary responsibility for your assigned portfolio of clients will be relationship management, growth and retention. You will also be accountable for acquiring new clients through business development activities such as developing and nurturing a strong network of referrals. You will be assigned a portfolio of high value clients whose personal financial needs are already with RBC.
Key Accountabilities:
Upon completing the program your sales objectives and accountabilities will be:
1) Grow and retain your assigned portfolio of personal banking relationships
2) Acquire the business banking relationship from your existing personal clients
3) Grow and retain the newly acquired business banking relationship
4) Acquire and maintain centres of influence within your community.
Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge/Accreditations
• Must have Mutual Funds accreditation via either Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada
• Knowledge of a broad array of personal and business financial products and services
• Knowledge of business financial statements, analysis and risk assessment
• Knowledge or fluency in a second language is an asset
Experience
• Business experience within a financial institution an asset
• Proven sales success demonstrated by exceeding sales targets
• Ability to cultivate long term client relationships as well acquire new clients
• Completion of the RBC [Senior] Account Manager Training Program or previous experience as a Small Business owner, or similar position at another financial services industry provider
Skills/Competencies/Attributes
• Demonstrated success with business development and prospecting activities including building and leveraging valuable “centres of influence” within the local business community
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning
Education
• Post secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
