| GENERAL SUMMARY
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Software QA Engineering
to join a dynamic environment, building and validating solutions around
virtual storage and compute infrastructure. The candidate will be
working on VPLEX, a radical new technology eliminating the constraints
of distance from the data center environment, allowing organizations to
non-disruptively move thousands of virtual machines and petabytes of
information over thousands of miles. This position manages multiple
highly complex, high profile technical projects and initiatives.
This
role requires a solid background in Quality Engineering with the
ability to negotiate, influence, and manage cross-functional scrum
teams. It also requires executive presence, ability to shift context,
multitask and manage at multiple levels of the organization.
Role and responsibilities:
· Candidate
will have to understand the storage related product and be responsible
for leading and managing multiple complex projects impacting business
goals and objectives
· Candidate
will be responsible for effectively managing the deliverables of
quality assurance teams, including planning, prioritization, meeting
quality criteria, budget and timeliness. These teams could be spread
across geographies and the role will demand understanding and resolving
impediments.
· Candidate will be responsible for directly managing engineers and other managers /program managers working on the product.
· Subject
matter expert in the establishment, planning and implementation of
multiple projects and/or programs. Allocates resources as necessary.
Provides work direction, training and development to other team members.
· Candidate will be expected to represent the team in various meetings, including providing executive level updates.
· Candidate
will be expected to participate and lead various organization or
quality assurance related initiatives leading to overall process
enhancements.
