The Programming focal is responsible to monitor SCADA,
troubleshoot and repair control systems and components. This role must
have the ability to read and understand P&ID and other engineering
drawings and documents. This role will work with Allen Bradley PLC,
ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC and RSLogix software.

- Play a key role in Alarm Management.

- Participate in establishing procedures for Hazard Assessments and ensure compliance.
- Must have legal authorisation to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to the Fort St. John, BC area.
- Programming of PLC and HMI systems for metering skids, safety systems, and process control systems.
- Programming and configuration of flow computers for metering systems.
- Repair, replace and/or install various instrumentation equipment. Includes diagnosing faults, obtaining parts, equipment and tools, and initiating repairs/replacements or referring more complex repairs to Supervisor.
- Perform testing and/or calibration on various devices, such as transmitters, controllers, valves, indicators, and switches.
- Interface with operations and leadership.
- Commissioning experience with SCADA platforms.
- Supporting the design of new and existing SCADA systems based on requirements of the Control Center or Field Operations.
- Designing hardware and software functional specifications for automated processes.
- Demonstrate competency with database tools Microsoft SQL, Excel and Access Database.
- Develop operator interfaces, data collection, alarms, and reports.
- Experience with networking, power systems, SCADA communication protocols and control systems are required with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems, also be responsible for leading others in the design, development, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems.
