Role Summary/Purpose The Regional Sales Manager (“RSM”) has primary responsibility for direct solicitation, qualification and conversion of prospects, as well as driving retention, penetration and profitable growth from existing dealer clients. This role serves the Industrial and Energy sectors in Western Canada.
Essential Responsibilities • Originates new business and seeks prudent pricing strategies for existing customer base to help the Business Unit achieve financial and business objectives as measured by CV, ROI, Volume and Receivable targets.
• Develops and executes strategies to drive growth, retention and profitability of accounts and optimize market penetration.
• Drives wing-to-wing sales process including customer prospecting, lead generation, making sales calls, analyzing data, preparing proposals and credit packages, negotiating price or other terms, and coordinating onboarding and ongoing relationships with customers.
• Collaborates with Portfolio Management to assist with management strategies of existing customers to avoid risk while generating core growth.
• Works closely with Risk Team during the underwriting processes of new and existing customers to onboard and retain customers.
• Attends dealer and manufacturer retail and trade shows to promote our organization and to nurture customer opportunities.
• Manages customer satisfaction through proactive customer service
• Participates in and take leadership responsibilities for Cross-Sell initiatives
• Seeks new products and opportunities to help drive business production.
Qualifications/Requirements • Post secondary education (degree preferred), in business or related discipline
• 5-7 years experience in financial sales, preferably within the industries served by the role.
• Asset based lending experience preferred
• Willingness to Travel- position could entail dealers across Canada, so frequent short duration (3-5 days) trips are required. A company car is also provided
• Ability to communicate well and work well as part of a team
• Self-Starter- ability to work with remote supervision
• Exceptional computer skills – Microsoft Office products
• Bilingual –( French and English) is an asset, but not a requirement
