| Job Purpose: * To provide leadership and co-ordination in business planning, analysis, and accounting of the local organization and to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and implementation of business strategy. Major Accountabilities: • Manage all financial planning processes and relationships. • Provide proactive financial leadership in the local management team by developing analytical and financial insight for all important long and short-term decisions, including resource allocation outcomes and processes, investments, and external business partnerships. • Analyze operating results and proactively identify areas of potential concern, initiating corrective action when necessary, and identify innovative ways to improve business volume and profit. • Establish and manage financial control processes, including quarterly and annual financial planning, goal setting, and target monitoring, as well as budgetary and purchasing controls. • Drive reporting activities, ensuring financial results’ integrity, timely preparation and, when necessary, presentation to relevant Novartis stakeholders. • Manage all Novartis relations with external auditors and stakeholders, and prepare Novartis organizations for all relevant regulatory and tax audits by ensuring adherence to necessary financial, administrative and corporate compliance (i.e. SOX) standards. • Manage all personnel and capability activities for the Finance group, ensuring effective personnel selection, development, retention and motivation, as well as overall group capability development. • Provide guidance to the indirect purchasing process, assist in driving specific purchasing initiatives, ensuring full compliance and achieving business benefits. | |
| Education : • University degree in business, finance or related field; MBA preferred. • Accounting Designation (CA, CMA or CGA). • Relevant financial planning/accounting certifications preferred. Experience: • Five to seven years of related finance experience. • Extensive experience in financial administration roles (both BPA and FRA), with record of increasing responsibility scopes, and successful and effective financial planning, control, and audits. • Strong commercial understanding of key business processes and success factors to constantly challenge the business. • Strong and proactive business results-focus, and proven ability to provide insights that increase business volume and profit. • Excellent financial modeling and control process design abilities. • Solid understanding of relevant tax and governance codes, and ability to ensure compliance across a complex and geographically-dispersed organization. • Thorough understanding of AH business cycle and financial issues, including its regulatory environment. • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage and develop other financial professionals Apply |
