The Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing and testing of Oilfield Pumping Equipment. You will identify and implement new product introductions, new technologies and process improvement techniques that support improvements in safety, quality and production. This roll will report to the Plant Manager.
• Be responsible for the manufacturing process development, tool design, manufacturing cost estimating, sourcing Technical support, Quality qualifications, test support, product cost reductions efforts, and Capital Equipment projects
• Support Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing and testing processes
• Own or support manufacturing engineering projects requiring development of specifications, purchase, installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment
• Participate in EHS related actions to improve plant safety in all areas
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located
• Previous GE Experience
• Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering (or Engineering Technology)
• Enterprise Resources Planning System (ERP) experience (COPICS, Oracle, SAP)
• Tool or process design experience
• Corporate Leadership Training Program graduate: manufacturing, operations or engineering programs (GE Employees only)
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified (GE Employees only)
• Up to date technical knowledge of the latest trends in manufacturing technology and ability to apply and adapt
