Ernst & Young's Human Capital practice provides high-quality compliance and advisory solutions for Expatriates. Our Human Capital practice is one of the world's largest and has talented and innovative professionals dedicated to teamwork and client service. Types of services include expatriate, resident and non-resident federal and state tax returns; compensation and tax equalization calculations; payroll administration; and group coordination. We currently have an excellent career opportunity for experienced Tax Managers and Senior Managers who will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. The successful candidate will lead and team with talented and innovative professionals dedicated to client service.
 
Responsibilities
  1. Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct/monitor engagements.
  2. Participate in managing a compliance group by assisting with forecasting future compliance and advisory work, delegating work effectively, and resolving staffing issues.
  3. Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service.
  4. Provide clients with a single point of contact for compliance and advisory needs.
  5. Determine all information required to ensure/complete accurate tax compliance products within the budget.
  6. Formulate a plan to gather/communicate information.
  7. Oversee the issues management process and adapt to challenges in the compliance process.
  8. Ensure the acceptance of the product by appropriate parties.
  9. Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery.
  10. Facilitate open communication and supervise staff and peers.
  11. Participate in recruiting efforts when necessary. Leverage technology to maximize productivity.

To qualify, candidates must have:
  • an undergraduate degree in a related field - a minimum of 5 years of expatriate tax experience
  • an accounting or legal background or other relevant accounting experience or certification relevant to an area of specialization
  • general knowledge of tax laws with specialized knowledge in 1 or more technical areas
  • proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
