The Sales Application Engineer will represent the GE Artificial Lift based in the clients Calgary office and will be supporting a developing ESP business in Chad, Africa.
Provide technical support to customers and the sales team daily to facilitate orders
• Technically articulate products to deliver presentations and training (on-site seminars, etc) with customers
• Work with customers to identify and collect the necessary well data to help validate proposal offerings
• Articulate product features, performance and value story
• Match product attributes to customer requirements and competitive comparisons
• Track installations and provide regular application updates in the designated database
Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotations
• Make technical presentations to all levels of customer organization
• Develop engineering and installation work scopes, schedules and cost estimates to facilitate total scope project offerings
ESP selection using Solutions software and manual systems
Provide technical support to customers and the sales team daily to facilitate orders
• Direct customer management through clear communication internally and externally
• Document competitors’ activities and assess potential market moves
• Manage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process
• Contribute positively to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals"
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
· Strong experience in Application Engineering for the ESP business
Track record for developing sales opportunities through Application Engineering

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Willingness and ability to travel periodically to the USA and Chad, Africa
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
· Six sigma training is preferred
· Solid presentation skills
· Strong creative problem solving skills
· Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Strong customer mindset
· Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
