As a Middleware Application Consultant you will lead and contribute to the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions based on Ada95 and C++, participating in the design, development, implementation and testing process. IBM Canada is in need of an experienced Ada95 and C++ Software Developer for the Data Link Processor System (DLPS) Lab. Typical Duties – Datalink Processing System-Specific: • Development of software requirements and software requirements specifications • Analysis of Software Problem Reports • Prototyping of Software solutions • Design and implementation of software components within the DLPS architecture • Perform Adaptive and Corrective software maintenance • Unit level testing including the development of procedures and reports • Development of Software Development Plans • Development of Software Integration and Qualification Test Plans, Procedures and Test Reports • Conduct of Software integration and qualification tests • Preparation of Software Design Documents • Debugging, isolating and resolving software problems • Supporting System Integration activities • Presenting software designs during internal and Customer reviews Experience & Education: • A minimum of five years practical experience in software requirement development, design, implementation and testing is required within a Datalink environment • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Software Engineering or equivalent

Required Bachelor's Degree At least 5 years experience in Strong Ada (Ada95 and Ada 2005) and C++ development skills on Windows and Linux. At least 3 years experience in Software configuration management tools (esp. ClearCase, ClearQuest) At least 3 years experience in UML and software design tools (esp. IBM Rational Rhapsody) At least 3 years experience in Adacore GPS & Ada development At least 3 years experience in Microsoft Visual Studio, Tactical Data Links, Redhat Linux & Rational Development tools At least 3 years experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) and UML design tools English: Fluent

Preferred Master's Degree At least 6 years experience in Strong Ada (Ada95 and Ada 2005) and C++ development skills on Windows and Linux.
